I’ve been using IDC mostly to look up information for my region, and it’s been easy to find what I need. A lot of sites don’t give this much local detail, so I can see it being useful for other customers who want region-specific info too. Overall, it was simple to use and I didn’t run into any major issues

Their recommendations were really clear, and I could actually use them at work the very next day. It wasn't just vague advice, it was practical stuff that made sense.

I check idc.com now and then for market info, and overall it’s decent. The data usually gives me a good starting point, but I’ve run into a few numbers that seemed outdated or not quite right, which gets annoying when you’re trying to make a quick call. I’d still use it for a general read on things, but I wouldn’t trust it completely without comparing it against other sources

The reports are kind of hit or miss now. Some still work well for what I need, but others don’t really fit or feel as useful as they used to.

IDC has some genuinely useful info, but I wish the pricing was more straightforward from the start. I ended up having to ask around more than I expected, i felt a little pressured to keep the conversation going just to get basic details.

They do seem flexible when it comes to custom research, which is great if you’ve got a specific question in mind. But i’d want the scope and pricing laid out really clearly before getting started, you know? It feels like it could be useful, but maybe a little too involved if you just need a quick answer. I think with a solid brief it could work well, but I wouldn’t want to go in without making sure everything was agreed on first.

The deep reports were really useful. Clear info. Easy to follow. Helped me get a feel for the market fast.

The research was good and felt like it was done properly, if that makes sense. It helped me understand the stuff better and I felt okay trusting it.

My experience with account management has been okay overall. Sometimes they’re really helpful and get things handled, but other times the responses feel slow. It’s not terrible, but I do think it could be more consistent.

The advice was clear and easy to follow, which isn’t always the case compared to other services I’ve tried. It saved us a good amount of time and felt worth it.

I mostly use IDC when I need market forecasts or tech spending numbers, and for that, it’s been useful. The reports are generally easy to follow, and they give me a solid "big picture" view when I just need a quick reference.
That said, I wouldn’t say the forecasts are always spot on. Some of the numbers end up being close later on, but other times the shifts are bigger than I expected, especially in faster-moving tech areas.
Overall, it’s not bad at all, but I wouldn’t use it as my only source. For me, it’s a good "starting point," but I still like to cross-check the numbers before relying on them too much

In my experience, the IDC webinars and the online event I joined were genuinely useful. The speakers explained things clearly, and the topics felt relevant rather than like a sales pitch. Signing up was simple too, which I always appreciate.

The analysts definitely seem knowledgeable and I did get some useful info from the reports. That said, I kept feeling like I may have spent more than I should have. The reports are good, just a bit expensive for what I personally got out of them.

To be fair, they did sort out my issue in the end, so I can’t really complain too much. The only downside was that the replies took longer than I was expecting. It wasn’t a bad experience, just a bit slower than I’d like. If they could respond a little faster, the support would feel much better overall.

It does a solid job covering the tech industry stuff I care about, which I appreciate. I just wish I didn’t have to wait around so much sometimes, that part can get frustrating

Everything worked on my end, so no real issues there. I just wish the communication had been a bit clearer because I was left guessing more than I should’ve been.

I’ve been using IDC for reports for a while now, and the subscription feels worth it. It’s easyyy to find what I need, and it saves me sooo much time compared to digging around on my own.

I’ll give them this: their methodology is clear. I didn’t have to sit there guessing what their process was or trying to decode a bunch of vague explanations, which is more than I can say for a lot of places

So... I check it often, and the updates usually come through quickly. It’s been a big help because I don’t have to run around chasing info anymore...
